It's interesting to think about the things we have/haven't done.

Didn't one of the GA's tell about an experience in Conf about a year ago - a couple came from NY to see the Grand Canyon and were surprised that the local gas station attendant hadn't seen it. But the attendant was shocked that the couple hadn't ever seen the Statue of Liberty.

When an historical site is in your "back yard" it often becomes common and ordinary. When you see something all the time it tends to blend into the daily aspects of your life and you no longer really "notice" it. For example, I could drive certain routes "with my eyes closed" because they are so familiar! (Ha, I don't really do it...)

I guess what I'm saying is don't feel bad if you haven't seen the Grand Canyon yet. Maybe make a plan to visit it - but more importantly, notice the things around you and appreciate them!Mama Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02647417825144481742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8165490670474836961.post-64286652048246050732008-11-09T08:52:00.000-07:002008-11-09T08:52:00.000-07:00I love this!!
