Last night we went to Applebee's for dinner (yea! for rewards cards!), and Isaiah was less than thrilled. He was cranky from missing his nap, and now that I think about it he was probably pretty hungry. We got to the restaurant, and the temperature inside was no help. Why must we dress for December just to eat in a restaurant when it's 80 degrees outside?! One of those mysteries I will probably never solve. Aaaannywaaaay . . .
Isaiah's food came, and he perked up. After a few minutes of chowing on fries, he burst out with, "Wow, what a deal! I got a corndog and fries and pop and even water, what a deal!"
Indeed, my handsome boy, what a deal. We even got a happy boy on the side.

At least she's secure . . .
A few days ago, Katie was carrying a stuffed puppy that says things when you squeeze different parts of it. It suddenly burst out with a sincere, "I love you!" Without missing a beat, Katie answered back matter-of-fact, "I know."
A few weeks ago, her grandpa asked, "How come you're so cute, Katie?" She looked him in the eye and said, "Because I have such pretty hair," and went back to playing.
