We interrupt this blog...

Okay, so it's been a long time since I posted.  Which wouldn't be a big deal, except that I used to blog a lot.  And it was fun.  But life has really been getting in the way for a while, and it has become super stressful.

So I'm just not going to blog for a while.  Maybe the whole "absence makes the heart grow fonder" thing will kick in.  Maybe not.  But for now, I'm going to stop feeling guilty when I choose to live life rather than blog about it for a while.  Because there is only so much of me to go around, and if I have to choose between snuggling and reading with my kids or yelling at them to be quiet for two more minutes while I finish a blog post, I'm going to choose snuggling.  At least for a little while, since they are still little and won't be for too much longer.

In the meantime, I need your help. Will you comment and let me know if there is something you have enjoyed seeing here on this blog? I need a reason to come back from my little break.  Thank you ever so much, dear friends!

I totally understand the guilt thing.

I liked just seeing what you were up to. :)

Rachel, I always love seeing pictures or hearing about your projects that you've worked on. It's inspiring to me. I also love your recipes. :) And cute pictures of your kids!!!

I love hearing about your projects! The sewing and crafts get me inspired to do something too. I tell myself that if you can do it with 4 kids I can do it with 3. enjoy that sweet family of yours!

Lately I have been having a hard time blogging too! It is my journal for the kids and it is a way for family to see what my family is up to so I have been making myself do it.
I love when you blog about projects you do, and recipes you like and I love seeing your cute little family grow up!

I like reading about your kids and projects and recipes. Summer is a hard time to blog--don't be hard on yourself! Keep taking pictures and then when you get the urge, just do a summer recap slideshow or something.

I've been finding it hard to be motivated to do projects around here, too. But I know that eventually I'll be itching to do them again. Time off is good!

Rachel- I totally understand the need to take a break. I really enjoy your blog though so I hope that you'll come back to it at some point. I enjoy hearing how you and your family are doing, and your honesty about your experiences as a mother is refreshing. I feel like I can relate. I have enjoyed the blogging challenges you have done. I have discovered new recipes and learned new things. Yet I also know that your kids are waaaay more important than the blog, so put your feet up and enjoy some snuggly time with the kids (or chase kids around the house trying to prevent mass chaos, whichever the day brings;).

I love posts that keep me updated about the daily life in your family. I'm always sad that I don't live just a little closer so I like feeling "in the know" through cute anecdotes. My kids love to log on and look at pictures and read about their cousins.

And by the way, it's not just you, I really think blogging is on it's way out. Almost no one blogs as often as they used to, or comments on other blogs as often as they used to. It's just not new and exciting anymore! :)

It's all about balance. We need to find a way to balance time with our children with time for ourselves. Both are important, but vary on a daily basis as to which one carries the bulk of the need. Right now, your children need you and you need them. Enjoy it!

And then come back and share what you've learned. I love your insights about motherhood and guilt and balance, and your kids are adorable!

I like keeping up with you and your darling family. (I too am trying to get back into blogging - mostly so we have a good family record.) I am always up for a new recipe too, so I like when you post things you cook.

I would just echo what everyone else has said. I totally understand, I haven't blogged in forever. But I love it when everyone else does!

To be honest, I almost never read your blog. But I like to check it to look at the pictures. So I would like you to at least post pictures every once in awhile so I can keep seeing the kids grow.

Come back because I love knowing what you are doing and that we are struggling and enjoying many of the same things. I've also like trying some of your recipes. Have a great break, and have no fear, life gets easier and we'll see you when it does.

I love keeping up on your fam! It has been a LONG time since I have actually seen you and considering we live in the same town, that is pathetic! Blogging is one way to keep in touch.

Also, I love reading your posts! It is inspiring!
